Harvard University Policy:

Student Receivables are reclassified by SRO from Central Student Accounts Receivable to the Tubs at month end so that each Tub can see their own receivable on their balance sheet.

1.4 Business Process for the Reclassification of Student Receivables from SRO to Tubs

At the end of each month, SRO debits the Tubs' receivable accounts for their part of the entire student receivable. The offsetting transaction will credit Central Student Receivables, zeroing out SRO's account at month end. At the end of the next month, the previous month's transactions will be reversed and a new reclassification will be made to reflect the receivable balance at the end of that month.
